GERMANY – Reuters-owned funds information company Lipper has named Alice Segschneider as its head of research in Germany, a new role.
Segschneider is a former Reuters and Bloomberg television journalist. Her role will be to develop relationships with fund companies, trade bodies and banks and to raise Lipper’s media profile within Germany and Austria.
“We have ambitious goals for Lipper in Germany and we are extremely pleased to have Alice on board to help us achieve them,” said Lapper’s global director of research, media and marketing Robin Thurston.
The move means that Lipper now has research capabilities in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. It is currently recruiting for a French research head.
Lipper is part of news group Reuters; it currently provides information on 120,000 funds worldwide. Segschneider will be based in Frankfurt.
