GLOBAL - PGGM, AXA Investment Managers, Lyxor Asset Management, State Street, Barnett Waddingham, Vanguard, Stenham Asset Management, F&C Asset Management, Ingram Micro

PGGM - Dutch asset manager PGGM has appointed Ruulke Bagijn as chief investment officer for private markets as of 1 March. Reporting to chief investment manager Eloy Lindeijer, Bagijn will be responsible for private equity, structured credits, infrastructure, real assets and insurance, hedge funds, responsible equity and private real estate. Currently, Bagijn is head of private equity at PGGM, the pensions provider and asset manager for the €111bn healthcare scheme PFZW.
AXA Investment Managers - Laurent Seyer has been appointed global head of investment solutions. He joins from Lyxor Asset Management, where he has served as chief executive since 2006. Seyer replaces Thibaud de Vitry, who has left the company. He will join the management board and report to chief executive Dominique Carrel-Billiard.

Lyxor Asset Management - Inès de Dinechin has been appointed chief executive, replacing Laurent Seyer, who has left to “pursue other opportunities” (at AXA Investment Managers). She will start in her new role from the beginning of March. She joined Société Générale in 1991, was put in charge of derivatives sales for French corporates from 1994 and later given responsibility for the fixed income dealing room in Frankfurt. From 2002 to 2004, she was co-head of the interest rates financial engineering, while in 2008 she was appointed global head of fixed income structured products.

State Street - John Minderides has been appointed head of the portfolio solutions business for the EMEA region. He joins from JP Morgan, where he served as managing director and global head of transition management. Before then, he worked at ITG Europe and Barclays Global Investors. Separately, Nicholas Bonn, executive vice-president, has been appointed global head of portfolio solutions activities worldwide, including the transition management and equity trading businesses.

Barnett Waddingham - Nick Salter has been appointed senior partner at the independent UK firm of actuaries, administrators and consultants. Adrian Waddingham, who has held the position for the last six years, will step down on 31 May, but will remain a partner in the firm.

Vanguard - Simon Vanstone has been appointed head of European institutional business, which serves pension schemes, multi-managers, sovereign wealth funds and other institutions, as well as defined contribution schemes. He joins from Axa Rosenberg, where he served as European chief executive and chief marketing officer.

Stenham Asset Management - Pablo Balan has been appointed head of risk management and quantitative research. He will also sit on Stenham’s investment advisory committee. He joined at the end of last year from Coutts & Co, where he served as global head of portfolio risk and quantitative analysis.

F&C Asset Management - Matthias Hansmann has been named director of institutional sales for the company’s German office based in Frankfurt. Hansmann, who will report to regional head Claus-Dieter Heidrich, joins from the Swiss Bantleon Bank and has previously worked for Cominvest Asset Management.

Ingram Micro - Grégory Catsberg has been appointed director of compensation and benefits for the EMEA region. He joins from Citigroup, where he was compensation and benefit director at Citibank Belgium and Citibank International.
