GLOBAL - Cardano, JLT, HSBC Securities Services, SEI, Hartmann Capital, MFS Investment Management.
Cardano - The fiduciary manager has bolstered its team with three new appointments. Laure Fourtou joins as a liability driven investment manager, Freddy Roddenhof as deputy head of operations and Miriam Lindsay as an in-house solicitor. Fourtou joins from Goldman Sachs, having spent six years as a European corporate pension specialist. Roddenhof joins from Reech AiM, where he was head of fund accounting. Lindsay previously worked in the investment funds team at Travers Smith.
JLT - Mark Wood has been named chief executive of JLT Benefit Solutions, with effect from 1 January 2013. He will join from Paternoster, where he also served as chief executive. Before then, he was chief executive at Prudential UK. He has been non-executive chairman at JLT Benefit Solutions for two years and will sit on JLT’s group executive committee.
HSBC Securities Services - John Cargill has been appointed global head of trustee and fiduciary services. Cargill joined HSBC in 2005 and is a former chairman of the Depositary and Trustee Association. He has previously held a number of senior positions within HSBC. In his new role, he will lead the future development of HSBC’s global trustee and fiduciary proposition.
SEI - Kevin Addison has been appointed managing director and head of UK asset management distribution. Prior to joining SEI, Addison was head of wholesale at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership where he oversaw the development of all strategic, advisory, and discretionary business.
Hartmann Capital - Roderick Collins has been appointed a non-executive director. He is also a director at JP Morgan Income and Capital Trust and chairman of the advisory board at the Somers Partnership. Chief executive Andrew Fitton said the company aimed to make further appointments in the coming months.
MFS Investment Management - Heiko Dahse and Karin Moritz join the institutional sales team. As managing director of Swiss institutional sales, Dahse will report to senior managing director, EMEA institutional business David Mace in London. Dahse joins from Hermes Fund Managers after two years as European sales director and previously worked as fixed income asset manager Fischer Francis Trees and Watts. Moritz will head up the company’s German institutional business from its Frankfurt office, reporting to managing director of institutional sales Germany Lars Detlefs. Moritz joined from Vontobel Europe and has worked at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse over the course of her career.
