GLOBAL - Henderson Global Investors, Calamos Investments, ECPI, Robeco, Hewitt Associates, Managing Partners Limited, Sourcecap International, ING Real Estate

Henderson Global Investors - Simon Ward, previously New Star’s economist and strategist, is now chief economist following its purchase of the rival asset manager New Star.

Calamos Investments - Vincenzo Falbo has been charged with opening a London presence for the asset management firm, as senior vice president and international director. He was previously a principle for asset management and wealth consultancy Vega, and was chief executive of Eaton Vance (International) between 2001 and 2007.

ECPI - Hendrik van Riel has joined the ESG-research and indices company as executive chairman. He spent many years at JP Morgan Securities heading market activity in different locations and was MD of JP Morgan AM until 2001.

Robeco - Willem Buiter has joined the supervisory board of Robeco Groep NV. He became Professor of European Political Economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2005 and was Professor of Economics at the University of Amsterdam in 2000. Bert Bruggink, CFO at Rabobank, has also joined the board, replacing Rik van Slingelandt, who resigned on 1 May.

Hymans Robertson - John Wright, partner at the firm, has been appointed to head the public sector consulting team. He will lead a team of 75 people which includes 14 actuaries and 25 investment consultants.

Managing Partners Limited - David Morgan to the new position of head of institutional sales at the traded life endowment investment house. He was previously head of UK and Channel Islands business development at Turnstone Asset Management in London, and will now report to Jeremy Leach, managing director.

Sourcecap International - Ronald Port will join the London-based high-alpha investment specialist on June 1 as senior analyst, specialising in European equities. He previously ran the Fidelity Nordic Fund for Fidelity International.

ING Real Estate - Matt Day, previously head of RREEF’s UK multi-manager business, is joining the ING RE Select team mid-June as senior fund manager of Osiris and real estate fund of funds. He will work with  Mark Bunney, head of Europe, on its numerous segregated portfolios.
