Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management (DeAWM) – James Dilworth, European chief executive at Allianz Global Investors, has left the asset manager to join €934bn rival Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management. Dilworth, who left AGI with immediate effect, is likely to take up his new position as head of DeAWM’s active asset management early next year, subject to approval from Germany’s regulator. His new role will also see him become chief executive of Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management Investment and join the manager’s executive committee.

APGBart Le Blanc has been appointed as a member of the supervisory board. Currently, Le Blanc is a senior partner at Andreas Capital Group in Luxembourg. Over the last 10 years, he has been CFO at nuclear fuel company Urenco and chairman of the executive board at ETC. Previously, he worked for F van Lanschot Bankiers, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London and La Caisse des Dépôts et consignations in Paris.

MercerChristian Bodmer, head of investment in Switzerland, is to be replaced by Philippe Lüthy, senior investment consultant and principal in Mercer’s Swiss office, from the beginning of August. Mercer provided no reason for Bodmer’s departure, although a spokeswoman confirmed to IPE that he would leave the company to take on a job “within the financial industry in Zurich”.

Nikko Asset ManagementStefanie Drews has been appointed global head of institutional marketing and proposition. She joins from Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in London, where she was global head of key clients. Drews will be responsible for developing and managing the institutional proposition globally.

AXA Investment ManagersDavid Page has been appointed as a senior economist. He joins from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, where he held a similar position. Before then, he was an economist at Investec Bank UK. He has also worked at the UK Debt Management Office, where he analysed Gilt markets.

Capital Group – The active investment manager has appointed Alvaro Fernández Arrieta as business development manager ahead of its planned expansion in Madrid. He joins from Amundi Asset Management, where he was head of sales. Before then, he worked at Calyon Banca Privada, Santander Asset Management and Banco Central Hispano.

Quantum AdvisorySean Gilfeather has been appointed principal consultant and actuary. He joins from Lorica Consulting, where he was head of actuarial and risk management, having previously worked for PwC and Towers Watson.

B&CERoy Porter has been appointed business development director at the not-for-profit organisation. He joins from NEST, where he headed up market engagement and led the scheme’s marketing and distribution strategy.
