Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) – Alastair Mills, Anne-Marie Cunnold and Florent Herelle have all been appointed portfolio construction managers on the liability-driven investment team. Mills joins from Cardano, where he was a senior LDI investment manager, while Cunnold joins from BlackRock, where she worked as a strategist focusing on LDI solutions. Herelle transfers internally within the company from the LGIM index funds team. Separately, Siobhan Boylan has been appointed CFO, subject to regulatory approval. She joins from Aviva North America, where she held a similar position.

Aon HewittPhil True has been appointed head of the investment consultancy’s UK-based equity manager research team. He joins from Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he was head of UK institutional equities.

State Street CorporationJeff Conway has been named to lead an organisation dedicated to developing solutions to address clients’ data information and trading challenges. Conway, who has been with State Street for 25 years, has led a number of businesses and corporate functions in addition to holding leadership roles within the company’s international business in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

SUSI Partners – Former federal president of Switzerland, Moritz Leuenberger, has been appointed to the Swiss sustainable investment house’s board of directors. Jürg Bucher, the chairman of the board, said: “As an experienced executive politician and as an infrastructure and energy expert with focus on sustainability, Moritz Leuenberger perfectly complements SUSI’s current board.”

UKSIFSimon Howard, former group CIO, has been appointed as chief executive. He replaces Penny Shepherd, who announced in late 2012 that she would step down after eight years. Howard will take over on 7 May.

Schroder Investment ManagementPhillip Matthews and Alex Breese have been appointed to the UK equity team. Matthews will manage the UK Alpha Plus fund, while Breese will manage the UK Equity and ISF UK Equity funds. Matthews joins from Jupiter, where he managed the Growth & Income fund. Breese joins from Neptune, where he was head of UK equities.

Baring Asset ManagementPaul Loss has been appointed head of operations, reporting to John Burns, chief operating officer. Loss will be responsible for delivering an efficient and effective operations platform in line with FCA principles. He joins from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he was head of investment operations.

Franklin Templeton InvestmentsDavid Zahn is to lead a major initiative to enhance European fixed income capabilities. The initiative will involve adding new, dedicated local investment resources in Europe, leveraging the fixed income group’s established global research platform. Zahn has been managing European fixed income portfolios with Franklin Templeton since 2006.

Barnett WaddinghamSimon Taylor has been appointed as associate in the corporate consulting practice. Taylor, who has more than 20 years’ industry experience, joins from JLT Consulting.

SL CapitalRichard Chapman, Cameron Graham and John Cancelleri have been promoted to the position of investment director at the private equity firm, while Andrzej Plichta was promoted to investment manager.
