NORWAY – The Norwegian government has appointed a new head for the State Public Sector Pension Fund, Statens Pensjonskasse. Gisele Marchand has been named as director for a six-year term.

Marchand replaces Kasper Holand.


Prior to joining the State Public Sector Pension Fund, Marchand was a director at advertising concern Batensgruppen AS, and has also held several senior positions at the Norwegian Central Bank (den Norske Bank).

Marchand takes up the job on January 2.
