Ray Martin, former vice chairman of the European Federation for Retirement Provision (EFRP) and current chairman of the UK National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) benefits committee, is taking up a new position as vice president of compensation and benefits at Airbus Industrie in Toulouse, France.

Martin, who quits his current position as head of compensation and benefits at Rexam in the UK, will start the new job on January 15 next year.

He will continue until April in his NAPF role, however, but says the move will take him away from the pensions arena.
“ The role will not involve much to do with pensions and will be more on the compensations side. “
“ I was offered a great opportunity – the part of the company I am working four will be a brand new operation merging four of Airbus’ European businesses and covering 40,000 employees across the continent,” Martin adds.
