SWEDEN – Mercer’s risk management consultancy arm, Mercer Oliver Wyman, is targeting growth in the Nordic region with the opening of an office in Stockholm.
The firm has named the former managing director of KPMG Consulting in Sweden, Sean Cory, to run the office. Cory would be responsible for expansion in the Nordic market, the firm said.
Mercer said Cory, 39, was at KPMG for 16 years. Andrew Stott, head of Mercer Oliver Wyman in western Europe, said: "Sean's calibre and experience will help us to respond to the continued growth in demand for our services from leading financial institutions in the Nordic region."
Mercer Oliver Wyman is part of actuarial consultant Mercer. It was formed in April 2003 with the merger of Oliver, Wyman & Co. and the financial services strategy and actuarial consulting practices of Mercer.
