NETHERLANDS – Dutch fiduciary manager MN Services has appointed Walter Mutsaers to its management board from 1 February 2006.

Mutsaers, 38, was interim manager at the company in 2001, and interim pensions and insurance director reporting to the management board between 2002 and 2004.

In 2001 he also started his own business, Mandaad, in the field of interim management, advice, coaching and counseling. However, Mandaad will now close.

Mutsaer’s main responsibilities will be pensions and insurance, and marketing. He will report to management board chairman Ruud Hagendijk, who is responsible for asset management and finance, amongst others.

According to an MN Services spokesperson, any other roles that Mutsaer might fulfill will be discussed in the future.

Hagendijk said: “It is my conviction that Walter is going to make a difference to MN Services. He is well-acquainted with our organization and is familiar with the market we operate in.”

In December, MN Services’ €130m mandate with the industry-wide pension fund for the clothing industry was expanded to €800m by the newly established industry wide scheme for fashion, interior, carpets and textiles (MITT).

Under the mandate, MN Services will become fiduciary manager for MITT.

“We have decided in favour of MN Services because of their long experience, their expertise in working with external managers and the cost efficiency due to economy of scale,” said MITT investment committee chairman Jan Hasselman.
