UK - The UK National Association of Pension Funds’ (NAPF) Voting Issues Service (VIS) and corporate governance research and ratings advisor, Deminor Rating, have joined forces to offer coverage of major European companies in 16 countries, including all those in the Eurotop 300 Index, in a bid to help institutions become more responsible shareholders capable of effectively supporting and challenging corporate management.

UK institutions will have access to voting and research services on the Continent, while Deminor Rating subscribers will have a window into the current trends in the UK.

John Rogers, director of the NAPF’s Voting Issues Service, comments:
“This ground-breaking new initiative is just one of the ways in which the NAPF can help its members to meet the calls from Myners and others to become more 'activist'."

The NAPF’s Voting Issues Service is used by investment management firms, pension funds and company secretaries,
As well as providing information and recommendations on corporate governance issues, VIS also engages UK companies on Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) and provides substantial help to investors on this subject.
