UK - The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) has launched a new recruitment service to find pension scheme trustee boards recruit investment professionals.

The association has set up the service in collaboration with Trust Associates, a search consultant for non-executive appointments for investment firms.

Speaking at the annual NAPF Trustees Conference in Westminster today, NAPF chief executive Joanne Segars commented: "The security of millions of people's pensions relies on the good governance of the UK's thousands of workplace pensions, so it is vital that those charged with representing the interest of pension scheme members are equipped for the job."

In the current environment of increased pressure on trustees, the NAPF was looking for a partner that could provide a cost effect recruitment service for pension funds, Sally Birkett of Trust Associates told IPE.

The service will be available to NAPF members from £3,500, a full search service will cost £11,000 Birkett explained.
