EUROPE – Yves Maillot, formerly Robeco France’s head of asset allocation and equity investment, has joined Natixis Asset Management (NAM), concluding a restructuring launched in April 2011.

Maillot, who spent the majority of his professional life at the Dutch asset manager, joined the Natixis Global Asset Management subsidiary at the beginning of the month and will serve as head of NAM’s European equity division.

Prior to joining Robeco in early 1998, be spent time as a fund manager at Barclays and began his career as a fund manager at Crédit Commercial de France.

Speaking in the upcoming December issue of IPE, NAM chief executive Pascal Voisin said the restructuring aimed to transform the company’s image, offering a diversified range of strategies.

“To date, the image of our fixed income expertise was so strong that the other investment divisions had been overshadowed,” he said.

Emmanuel Bourdeix, joining from Amundi in 2010, will act as co-chief investment officer with oversight of the new Seeyond volatility and structured division.

As part of the new strategy, Bourdeix also heads the global emerging division, covering both fixed income and equity for the region.

Longstanding head of fixed income Ibrahima Kobar was promoted to co-chief investment officer while simultaneously overseeing fixed income.

Franck Nicolas rounds off the top team as head of investment and client solutions.
