NETHERLANDS – The Dutch corporate governance foundation SCGOP is to hold a symposium on corporate governance later this month.

The Stichting Corporate Governance Onderzoek voor Pensioenfondsen said it is to hold the event in Rotterdam on August 27.

SCGOP, or the Foundation for Corporate Governance Research for Pension Funds, was set up in the light of the Peters committee on corporate governance.

Speakers include SCGOP chairman Peter de Koning, corporate governance commission chairman Morris Tabaksblat and Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP’s investment chief Jean Frijns.

SCGOP’s founders include some of the Netherlands’ largest pension funds, its observers are the industry associations Vereniging van Bedrijfstakpensioenfondsen and the Stichting Ondernemingspensioenfondsen.
