NETHERLANDS – Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP has hired Kate Holdsworth, the former head of UK portfolio management at Barclays Global Investors.

“Kate joined us on December 1 2003,” said ABP spokesman Michel Meijs. She will be senior portfolio manager, overlay, at the 144 billion-euro civil service pension scheme’s Amsterdam offices.

BGI spokesman Richard King said Holdsworth left earlier this year and was not replaced.

The Heerlen-based scheme has been in the news recently with Dutch MPs debating the ABP law in parliament following proposals from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to update the legislation.
