SWEDEN – Tredje AP-fonden, the SEK160.2bn (€17.3bn) Swedish third national fund, has named Skandia Liv’s Hans Lindberg as chief strategist for asset allocation, a new role.

Cecilia Sved, portfolio manager for external mandates, will become global equity manager. She retains overall responsibility for external mandates while Ann-Charlotte Hormgard will have day-to-day contact with managers, a spokeswoman said.

AP3 said Lindberg would “coordinate and develop the overall investment process and work with macroeconomic analysis”.

Before Skandia, he was manager for the forecast division at the National Institute for Economic Research and assistant manager at the Central Banks economic division, AP3 said. He joins on August 8.

The fund the moves were part of its step, announced in May, to increase the level of active risk management throughout its benchmark reference portfolio.
