BELGIUM - Settlement system Euroclear Bank has appointed Annelies Bruyninckx as head of employee benefits and pension plan administrator.

She succeeds Karen Van Bockstaele, who is taking maternity leave and will return in January in another role within the 40-strong human resources division. Bruyninckx reports to Marc De Gaeger, director of benefits and compensation

Euroclear operates a 58.8 million-euro final salary scheme which, according to its 2003 annual report, is 29.5 million euros in deficit under the FRS17 reporting standard.

Earlier this month Danish pension scheme administration firm ATP selected Euroclear's FundSettle as its pan-European processing solution for all non-Danish fund transactions executed as part of its new special savings scheme.

Euroclear is a settlement system for domestic and international securities transactions, covering bonds, equities and investment funds.
