FRANCE – Odile Sigrand, marketing manager for Crédit Agricole’s Calyon Financial, is about to leave the company.

Sigrand said that in three months she would leave Calyon Financial. The firm is the new corporate name for Calyon’s financing and investment banking business.

It was created last May through the partial transfer of assets from Crédit Lyonnais to Crédit Agricole Indosuez.

Calyon Financial specialises in futures broking and a “hedge funds approach”. It focuses on institutional investors.

Sigrand confirmed she could set up her own business but said she also is considering working with a US advisory firm, specialising in alternatives, but did not elaborate further.

It is not clear whether Sigrand’s successor has yet been chosen, as Calyon’s press spokeswoman, Anne Robert, was not available for comment.
