UK - Cambridgeshire County Council has tendered a £30m (€44.7m) currency mandate.

It is looking for an actively managed pooled currency fund and is being assisted by consulting firm Hymans Robertson. The contract is for 300 months.

It envisages between five and 10 tenders, with the award going to "the most economically advantageous tender in terms of the criteria stated in the specifications".

Deadline for tenders or requests to participate is October 19.

Separately, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead has tendered for actuarial services for the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund.

It said: "The Pension Fund has approximately 80 employers and the membership as at March 31 2006 comprised 16,589 contributors, 9,440 pensioners and 10,511 deferred beneficiaries." The value of the five-year contract is between £50,000-£100,000 a year.

A minimum of three providers will be evaluated, with October 27 being the deadline to apply.
