FRANCE – French investment management group, CDC IXIS Asset Management in Paris has lost its head of European equities, Gilles Meshaka, as well as three members of his team, Sadri Tamarat, Laurent Jacquier-Laforge and Pierre-Alain Labat. All four are reportedly moving to rival asset manager, Fortis Investment Management, as part of its restructuring.

Michel Lacomme, head of communications at Fortis in Paris, would not comment on whether the four are joining Fortis, but confirmed the investment management operations at Fortis in Europe are being moved to Paris.

“The move to centralise our management operations in Paris is logical, given the volume of business there. And as such there will be some team reorganisation taking place,” he comments.

Anne-Françoise Lacoste, head of communications at CDC IXIS AM says the four are not leaving until June but they have already had their portfolios reallocated to other managers.
