Susan Douse, who ran Watson Wyatt’s Global Asset Study for the past 10 years, is moving to Schroders.
She is joining the UK asset manager as global head of product management and consultant relationships.
Douse’s move follows the Reigate-based pension consultants’ decision to disband its global investment management services consulting team, which she headed.

Nick Watts, head of the UK and European investment practice at Watson Wyatt said the parting was “amicable”:

“The main core of our business is giving investment advice to pension funds, but behind a Chinese wall Sue has been involved with a small team giving advice on a strategic specific project basis to investment managers. Recently we looked at what the future held for that business, and we came to the conclusion that we were not going to continue with it.”

The global asset study, an ongoing programme of research and interactive conferences , will continue, he said.

Richard Horlick, Schroders’ global head of investment, said: “Susan brings enormous experience and insight to this role from her time at Watson Wyatt and will play a major part in further strengthening our relationships with investment consultants.”

Douse will join Schroders in March.
