GERMANY – Thomas Schwingeler is joining Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein’s Frankfurt office in the late summer as managing director of investment banking.
Previously, he worked for the mergers and acquisitions department at Goldman Sachs in Frankfurt.

“ This is a further signal of our determination to drive forward our investment banking franchise in Germany and to serve better our clients in the environment of increased M&A and corporate finance activity which is expected in this key European market,” says Jeffrey Rosen, deputy chairman at DrKW with responsibility for investment banking in continental Europe.

In a separate move and as part of its planned fusion to insurance group Allianz, Dresdner Bank, parent company of the investment bank, is looking at establishing DrKW as a new subsidiary holding company with a partial stock market flotation in the next 2-3 years.
