NETHERLANDS – Ton Groeneveld, interim chief investment officer at Doctors Pension Funds Services, has left following the appointment of permanent CIO Jan Willem Baan.

Baan, who started on January 1 “has now enough settled in, so my interim job is finished,” Groeneveld told IPE.

He joined the former SBA Artsen Pensioenfondsen a year and a half ago after he retired from SPF Beheer in Utrecht.

He said: “My biggest project as a CIO at Doctors Pension Funds Services was, besides running the asset management department, to select managers worldwide for the total portfolio of €12bn in the asset classes fixed income, credits, equity and real estate.

“The transition process is almost finished.”

DPFS named TKP Pensioen’s Jan Willem Baan as its new CIO back in October.
