NETHERLANDS – The OPF, the Dutch Association of Company Pension Funds, has named Loek Sibbing as chairman.

It said the 46-year-old new managing director of the €3bn Unilever Progress scheme would take over from Han Thoman, who is retiring from KLM.

Sibbing, who has been on the OPF board of management for four years, officially joined Unilever today, taking over from Alco Vernooy, who is retiring.

The 59-year-old Thoman will be succeeded at Blue Sky Group, the manager of KLM’s pension assets, by Toine van der Stee as of August 1. Van der Stee joins from Interpolis.

Thoman joined the OPF board in 1992 and became chairman in January 2001.

“The changeover of the OPF chair will take effect during the OPF congress on 10 November 2005,” the association said.
