GERMANY - F&C Management has named Andreas Steinmeier, formerly head of institutional marketing and sales at Commerzbank’s Cominvest Asset Management, as director of sales and client service for Germany.

F&C, which recently announced a merger agreement with ISIS Asset Management, said that Steinmeier would work with Claus-D. Heidrich and Elmar Rathmayr, who are currently responsible for institutional marketing and client management in Germany.

F&C deputy chief executive Alain Grisay said: "F&C has over 15 years experience in the German market. Currently we manage two billion xx for German institutional clients. The new appointment underlines our commitment to this market and will help our further expansion."

“Since we opened our office in Frankfurt in November 2002 the business has already exceeded our expectations,” said Heidrich. He said there was a net inflow of 330 million xx in the first quarter of 2004.

Steinmeier took up the role at the start of this month.
