Fonds Consult Institutional formed
There’s to be a new name in the German investment consulting market, FondsConsult Institutional. The new entrant, based in Munich, is a venture of Complementa-Investment Controlling of St. Gallen, Switzerland and German funds research firm FondsConsult.
The decision to set up is a response to a predicted increase in demand for such services, the companies say.
Joachim Meyer, founder of FondsConsult and managing director of FondsConsult Institutional, says: “From our experience more and more German institutional investors are going to increase their demand of complete pragmatic solutions and innovative tools.”
Michael Brandenberger, chief operating officer of Complementa, added: “Thanks to the perfect match of our core competence and infrastructures we can become a ‘big player’ with an individual character.”
“The entrance of a such well established company in the German market will freshen up the consulting-scene. From an investor’s position are various offers and strong competition absolutely welcome,” says Klaus Kirschenhofer, a former board member of Wacker-Chemie-Pensionskasse and the head of investment management at Siemens.
Complementa was set up in 1984 and FondsConsult Holding was established in 1993.
