UK – Gartmore Investment Management has promoted Elaine Gordon to head of institutional client services, a move that is in line the recent strengthening of its institutional distribution with the appointment of Frances Davies as head of global institutional business.

Gordon has been with Gartmore since 1993, during which time she has acted as account director for a number of Gartmore’s pension accounts alongside her role as senior investment manager within the UK equities team.

The recent management appointments at Gartmore are part of its strategy to “boost and differentiate” its client service by having experienced investment professionals as account directors.

The institutional client service team now numbers 45 but a spokesperson says there are no more appointments on the cards at the moment and any future personnel changes will be recommended by Frances Davies.
