SWITZERLAND- Henderson Global Investors has opened an office in Zurich from which it will promote its retail and institutional products and services.

Markus Puck and Daniel Wueschner will be heading up the Swiss office. Puck will be country head and Wueschner will be manager of marketing and sales.

Prior to joining Henderson, Puck and Wueschner worked at Bank Sarasin in Basle. Puck was responsible for retail clients, while Wueschner worked on the institutional side.

Marc Cochrane, director of European operations at Henderson called the opening of the office “a step forward in the growth plans for Europe.”

He adds: “Henderson already has a significant client base in Switzerland. Henderson’s Horizon funds, hedge funds and some property are predominantly sold there.”

The opening of the Swiss office coincides with the registration of the Henderson Horizon Sicav range of sub-funds in Switzerland. The SICAV funds are sold to retail and institutional investors.
