NETHERLANDS – Dick Okhuijsen, who was involved in setting up ING’s global pensions operation, is to become head of ING’s business in the Czech and Slovak republics.

The move, which has been announced internally, is effective as of February 1.

Okhuijsen was interim programme director, global pensions, as well as heading up retail financial services in Eastern Europe.

He was in the pension role from March 2003 and supported the new global pensions group headed by Jan Nijssen, said ING Europe spokeswoman Dorothy Hillenius.

He takes over from Ron van Oijen, who will become chief of staff to the Netherlands management committee.

ING announced a revamp of its Dutch management committee in December, which saw Bert Richaers step down as chairman of the Intermediary Division of ING Netherlands and be succeeded by Ludo Wijngaarden.
