UK – London-based Newton Investment Management has appointed Audrey Lowrie as a fund manager with responsibility for UK institutional equities and global multi-asset portfolios.

With more than 20 years experience within the UK investment management industry, Lowrie joins from JP Morgan where she worked from early 1999, managing over £5bn (€8bn) in assets representing the UK equity portion of its UK balanced, global and EAFE portfolios. Prior to that she worked at HSBC where she managed a variety of funds.

Says Jeff Munroe, chief investment officer at Newton: “Audrey has valuable experience in managing UK equities, primarily institutional mandates. We believe she will add significantly to our already disciplined and robust investment process.”

Newton Investment Management, with almost £22bn (€36bn) under management, is the UK asset management subsidiary of Pittsburgh-based Mellon Financial Corporation, which has global assets under management of $610bn (€686bn).
