Kosovo pension fund looking for auditor
KOSOVO – The Kosovo Pension Savings Trust is seeking to appoint an auditor for its accounts for the 2002 and 2003 financial years.
The fund, set up in August 2002, is looking for a ‘standard’ auditor who will not be involved in the pensions side of the fund, said director Arieta Koshutova.
She said the Pristina-based fund has around 20 million euros in assets and around 100,000 beneficiaries. Its asset manager is ABN Amro.
The fund is a not-for-profit independent legal entity that was set up to administer and manage Individual Retirement Accounts. Koshutova can be reached via email at Arieta.Koshutova@kpst.org or via phone at 00 381 38 244 337.
According to the fund’s web site, the new system is an improvement on the old pay-as-you-go system. “The new program was designed with sustainability in mind, and it incorporates best international practices and applies them to Kosovo’s unique circumstances.”
