UK - Robert Williams has stepped down from his executive director role as counsel on the trustee business at Law Debenture.

It said: “The corporation announces that Robert Williams, currently an executive director, will from 1 January 2005 cease his executive responsibilities.”

Spokesman Ian Bowden said the 55-year-old Williams -- who remains a non-executive director -- had worked part-time basis providing counsel to the company’s trustee business.

“We think times have moved on a little,” Bowden added. “We’ve taken on new skills in new areas.”

Earlier the firm announced that it has appointed Professor John Kay as non-executive director and that Ken Inglis would retire in April 2005 after 10 years on the board.
