MacIntyre in CIO role for NY City
Desmond MacIntyre, former head of Deutsche Bank’s European pensions strategy group, is to be chief investment officer in the New York City Comptroller’s office. A spokesman for New York City Comptroller William Thompson, says MacIntyre will manage the city’s $75.1bn in assets.
His appointment in New York follows the naming last week of Horatio Sparkes as the city’s deputy comptroller for pensions and Kenneth Sylvester as assistant comptroller for pension policy.
The Comptroller is an elected official and acts as the chief financial officer for the city.
