UK- Mellon is reorganising its fund services including its transfer agency and fund accounting operations and rebranding them as Mellon European Fund Services.

At present the Edinburgh-based Mellon Global Investment Services services the funds for both Newton, Mellon's UK asset management subsidiary, and Mellon Global Investments.

Subject to regulatory approval, these operations will be integrated with those of Mellon Fund Administration, the third party administration arm of Mellon Global Securities Services.

Richard Godfrey, managing director of European Fund Services, will be responsible for the existing locations in Brentwood, London and Dublin, in addition to the Edinburgh operations. European Fund Services will comprise around 1,000 people.

Mellon European Fund Services provides third party administration, DC pensions administration and outsourcing solutions to the investment, pensions and financial market.
