US- Daniel McCaw has been appointed chief executive and president of Mercer Human Resource Consulting worldwide. McCaw has headed Mercer’s US operation for two years and prior to that was chairman and chief executive of the Canadian branch.

McCaw, who has been with Mercers for 29 years, replaces Peter Coster who has been promoted to president and chief executive of Mercer Consulting Group, the umbrella organisation overseeing the consulting businesses of parent company Marsh & McLennan.

McCaw, who is based in New York, will remain as chairman and CEO of the US company and therefore dictate strategy.

Karen Greenbaum, previously responsible for the Midwest unit, is promoted to president and chief operating officer of the US operation and will oversee the day-to-day running of the company from Chicago.

Greenbaum, who has been with the company for 30 years, has also served as the head of Mercer’s global communications consulting practice.
