Morgan Stanley IM global president Ennis quits

GLOBAL – William Ennis, president of global services at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, is to leave the firm, a spokesman said.

Ennis, who joined the firm in June 2003, is understood to be leaving for personal reasons. He joined the firm Evergreen Investments where he was president and chief executive. He was responsible for all MSIM’s operations except investment teams.

Last week Morgan Stanley said its investment management arm gained 45 billion dollars (36.7 billion euros) in institutional assets under management in the past year. Its institutional assets under management were 200 billion dollars,

Earlier this month Morgan Stanley named Professor David Miles as chief UK economist in London. Miles specialises in the UK financial markets, pensions and housing and is professor of financial economics at Imperial College’s Tanaka Business School.
