UK- JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management has hired Morgan Stanley’s Andrew Orchard as a portfolio manager in its growing global portfolios group.

Orchard has ‘recently’ joined the 22 investment professionals-strong JPMorgan Fleming global portfolios group, which manages approximately 25 billion dollars (20.20 billion euros) in multi-market strategies. Orchard is based in London.

Howard Williams, head of the global portfolios group at JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management, said: “Andrew is an experienced investor who will play a key role in sustaining our strong investment performance and I am delighted to welcome him to the Global Portfolios Group.”

“His appointment underlines our continuing commitment to ensure that the resources of the team match the growth of our business” he continues.

JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management said it had over 750 billion dollars in assets under management.

At Morgan Stanley, Orchard was executive director, global sales and was providing global equity research sales coverage to European and U.S. institutional clients. It is understood that Orchard is not going to be directly replaced.
