UK - Morley Fund Management has named American Express's Nicolas Portet as European marketing manager.

Portet, who was director of global marketing at American Express Bank, would be "working collaboratively with the business development and sales teams and his main responsibility will be to provide proactive marketing support to the European business," a press release stated.

He takes over from Ulrike Cao, who has left for personal reasons, and will report to head of channel marketing, Mark Ward.

Helen Pring is also joining from Pioneer Investments as ‘competitor and customer insight manager'. She replaces Jenkins Lewis.

Morley's head of marketing David Norman said: "Morley is committed to growing its business beyond the UK, especially in Europe. The addition of Nicolas and Helen to our marketing team reinforces the support we give to the business."

Firms within Morley Fund Management Limited group, the UK-based asset management business of Aviva plc, managed £162bn (€240bn) from offices around the world as at 30 September 2006.
