Netherlands' Heijnis to merge with Hewitt

UK/NETHERLANDS – Outsourcing and consulting firm Hewitt Associates and its Dutch-based partner, Heijnis en Koelman, are to integrate further and to create a wholly-owned Hewitt operation called Hewitt Heijnis en Koelman.

Both firms have worked together for over 15 years and subject to approval by the Dutch Works Council, Heijnis en Koelman will become completely integrated with Hewitt Associates, which has approximately 14,000 employees spread across 39 countries.

Dries Nagtegaal, who will lead client development at Hewitt Heijnis en Koelman said: "This is a significant step forward for Heijnis en Koelman and in the way we are able to service our clients.

“We see joining Hewitt Associates as a natural evolution of our long and successful relationship. We will have access to a broader range of Hewitt's world-wide resources and be able to make greater investment in infrastructure, technology and training to serve our clients better."

Heijnis en Koelman employs around 200 people and has offices in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Utrecht.

Perry Brandorff, who leads Hewitt's European operations said: "this step, combined with our recent integration of Bacon and Woodrow in the UK, Delaney Bacon and Woodrow in Ireland, and PRASA in Switzerland, has significantly increased our consultancy capabilities throughout Europe."
