UK- Northern Trust has beefed up the research department of it multi manager business with the appointment of John Greene as International research analyst. Greene will work with director of research Michael Kinney to carry out research in continental Europe and the UK.

Greene joins from Sand Aire Investments where for three years he oversaw the screening, selection and monitoring of external managers for a global balanced multi manager fund. Prior to that he was head of performance and risk for UBS Asset Management in Switzerland.

Tony Earnshaw, managing director of multi manager products says: “with the increasing demand for manager of manager products in the UK and European marketplace we felt it was the right time to expand the team.”
