First Sentier Group – The global asset management organisation has named Harry Moore as chief executive officer, effective 1 January 2026.

Moore’s appointment follows the intention of the current CEO, Mark Steinberg, to step down at the end of the year after seven years with the group. Following a comprehensive search and selection process, Moore was appointed by the board.

Prior to this appointment, Moore was chief commercial officer, having been appointed in January 2025. He played a vital role in collaborating with the group’s investment teams to advance their growth plans. He also oversaw responsible investment, product management, investments business management, and the First Sentier Investors’ investment teams in Australia and Asia.

Before this, Moore was global head of distribution, marketing and communications, based in London, providing oversight of sales, managing client relationships and overseeing marketing and communications activities globally.

 

Indefi – The strategy consultant to asset managers has launched a new global board of advisors, appointing three senior leaders from the international asset management industry to share their expertise in steering the firm’s work on the major megatrends impacting investment firms.

Daniel Roy, senior adviser at Indefi, will lead the Board and set the strategic direction for its contribution to Indefi. He joined the firm in 2024 and was previously CEO of La Banque Postale Asset Management, HSBC Private Bank France and Natexis Asset Management.

The latest international appointments follow the recent addition of Nick Ring, former CEO of Columbia Threadneedle Investments EMEA, as chair of Indefi’s UK business.

The three new senior advisors are:

  • Elizabeth Corley, chair of Schroders. She was formerly global CEO of Allianz Global Investors until 2016, having spent a decade at the firm, and has participated in a variety of industry initiatives such as the Green Finance Institute, the 300 Club and as chair of the Impact Investing Institute;
  • Allan Polack, former CEO of PFA Pension, the biggest commercial pension company in Denmark, until his retirement in 2022. Prior to that he was the CEO of Nordea Asset Management, having spent much of his career at the firm;
  • Ranji Nagaswami, most recently was chief strategy and chief commercial officer of Strategic Value Partners and previously, CEO of Hirtle Callaghan, a pioneer of the OCIO fiduciary model. She is the founder of the Aspen Finance Leaders Fellowship Program at the Aspen Institute.

The board will provide Indefi’s senior leadership team with their knowledge built over decades in the industry on current and evolving industry megatrends, including forthcoming regulatory change, product vehicles, new investment capabilities, and business ownership structures, as well as identifying new areas of focus for the business to consider.

 

SH Pension – Kenneth Norling has been hired by the Swedish pension fund as its chief investment officer, taking over from Christian Ragnartz, who has been interim CIO for the past year.

Norling joins from Swedish insurance company Bliwa, where he was CIO. Before that, he was in charge of the internal bank of Swedish engineering firm Sandvik, which included the management of the company’s global pension foundations.

VanguardGillian Hepburn has been appointed as head of adviser solutions, UK. The appointment reflects Vanguard’s ongoing commitment to investing in and prioritising its adviser solutions offering.

Hepburn will report to Doug Abbott, head of UK client group, and will join the UK distribution leadership team.

In her new role, Hepburn will be responsible for driving the development of Vanguard’s Model Portfolio Services, managing strategic relationships with platform partners, and overseeing the evolution of the broader adviser solutions offer.

Hepburn has more than 30 years of experience in financial services, with a career spanning senior roles in business development, intermediary solutions, and strategic partnerships.

 

Wales Pension Partnership Investment Management Company – Local government pension schemes (LGPS) in Wales (Wales Pension Partnership) have joined forces to incorporate a multi-billion-pound company that will manage the investments on behalf of the eight pension funds in Wales.

The £25bn investment management company was set up last month and has now appointed its first CEO, Rob Lamb.

Lamb brings to the role both public and private sector experience that includes senior leadership roles in international investment management of the local investment landscape in Wales, and long-standing relationships with the Welsh LGPS.

Lamb’s career spans senior leadership positions in the regulated public and private financial markets across the globe, as well as the founding and sale of a financial technology start-up.

 

RBC BlueBay Asset Management – The firm has appointed Russ Evans in a newly created role of director, financial institutions business development. He will report to Matthew Rawlings, head of financial institutions, UK & Ireland.

Evans brings over two decades of financial services sales experience, most recently as co-head of the UK wholesale business at Royal London Asset Management where he was responsible for UK regional sales. Prior to that, Evans held positions at Aviva Investors, Aberdeen Asset Management and Columbia Threadneedle.

HarbourVest Partners – The global private markets investment specialist has hired Michelle Han as head of global ex-US marketing.

Based in London, Han joined the firm on 1 September 2025 to lead its marketing strategy and execution across EMEA, APAC, as well as Canada and LATAM. She will report to Ray Ahn, chief marketing officer.

Han will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering integrated marketing initiatives that support the firm’s growth ambitions, particularly in the wealth segment, where demand for tailored investment solutions continues to rise.

Han brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, with a strong background in building high-performing teams and delivering brand and client engagement strategies across diverse geographies. She joins from Schroders, where she was global head of growth and digital marketing.

 

Fortress Investment Group – Rob Brindley has been recruited as managing director in its European client product and solutions group. He will be based in London and oversee relationships and fundraising with pensions and consultants across the UK and report to Rob Reynolds, head of European institutional business development.

Brindley joins from the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), where he was an investment director responsible for origination, execution, and asset management of private credit assets.

 

Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology (CFIT) – The Centre has announced three senior appointments to its board, with Chris Pond joining as non-executive chair and Nausicaa Delfas and Vivienne Artz as independent non-executive directors.

Pond has held a range of senior roles across financial services, academia and politics. A former member of parliament and Work and Pensions minister, he has served as director of financial capability at the Financial Services Authority and chair of the Financial Inclusion Commission and the Lending Standards Board. He is also currently chair of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Consumer Panel, TrustMark and Gamstop.

Delfas has been CEO of The Pensions Regulator since April 2023. Before that, she held several senior roles at the FCA, including executive director of international, responsible for the FCA’s international and Brexit strategy and delivery, executive director of governance and chief operating officer.

Artz is CEO of the FTSE Women Leaders Review and holds several board and advisory roles supporting businesses in their data, privacy, ED&I and digital transformation strategies.

These three additions to the board follow the appointment of Anna Wallace as the organisation’s new CEO, effective 1 September 2025, to lead CFIT into the next phase of its growth. Pond replaces Charlotte Crosswell, CFIT’s founding chair.

LBP AM European Private Markets – The firm has appointed Gabriele Perri as investment director within its capital solutions division. He will report to Sophie Vergez, co-head of capital solutions funds of funds.

Perri joins from Amundi Private Equity in Paris. He brings extensive experience in conducting due diligence, portfolio monitoring, working on innovative product launches such as European Long-Term Investment Funds (ELTIFs) and supporting fundraising from both institutional and wealth clients.
