GLOBAL - BlackRock, Society of Pension Consultants, DC Advisory Partners, BNY Mellon, The Riverside Company, Pictet Asset Management, Polar Capital

BlackRock - Cliff Speed has been appointed managing director and a senior strategist within the Multi Asset Client Solutions (BMACS) group, which supports BlackRock's liability-driven investing offering. He joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was senior actuary in the pensions and insurance team. Before then, he served as investment director at Paternoster.

Society of Pension Consultants (SPC) - Roger Mattingly has been elected as president and will start in his new role on 1 June. He succeeds Kevin LeGrand, head of technical services at Buck Consultants, after a two-year term. Mattingly, a board director at JLT Benefit Solutions, has more than 30 years' experience in the pensions sector. He has sat on the SPC council for the last 13 years.

DC Advisory Partners - Terry Huffine has been appointed an executive director in the European consumer, leisure and retail team. He will focus specifically on the food and beverage sub-sector, an area in which he has specialised for the last seven years. He joins from ABN AMRO, where he was director on the consumer team.
 
BNY Mellon - Peter Paul Pardi has been appointed global head of distribution for BNY Mellon's investment management business. He joins from private equity firm Arcapita, where he served as executive director and global head of institutional investment placement. Before then, he worked at PIMCO, Lehman Brothers Investment Management and Barclays Global Investors.

The Riverside Company - Erick Bronner has been appointed to lead the private equity firm's relations department. He joins from Mercury Capital Advisors, where he was a founding partner. Before then, he was a managing director in Merrill Lynch's private equity funds group.

Pictet Asset Management - Luca Paolini has been appointed chief strategist, joining from Credit Suisse, where he was director of the global equity strategy team. Previously, he held positions at AllianzDresdner AM and Union Investment in Germany.
 
Polar Capital - Michael Hufton has been hired to assist Robert Gurner and Andrew Marsh in the management of the European Conviction and European Forager funds. He joins from Sloane Robinson, where he was a European fund manager. Before then, he was a partner at Bruce Nelson Capital.
