ING IM InternationalHans Stoter has been appointed CIO and a member of the international management committee. Stoter, who has been with the company since 1998, succeeds Mark Weber, who has returned to the US office to resume his responsibilities as executive vice-president of structured assets, loans and alternatives. Tim Dowling will succeed Stoter in his former position of head of credit investments.

Finansinspektionen – The Swedish regulator, Finansinspektionen, has appointed a new chief economist, Robert Boije. Boije joins the regulator from the Ministry of Finance, where he was head of the macro-economic analytics unit and deputy head of the economics department. Before then, he worked at the country's central bank, Riksbanken, and has a PhD in economics from the University of Uppsala.

PFAMichael Bruhn has been appointed director of PFA's real estate arm PFA Ejendomme and of its unit PFA Invest International. He will take up the post on 1 March. Bruhn replaces Michael Willumsen at the Danish pension provider, who stepped down from the role last summer, but continued to work on some of PFA's major property projects. During the transition period, PFA's head of business and property Anne Dorthe Lillelund has been acting as director at PFA Ejendomme. Bruhn comes from the role of partner and director of the Nordic arm of Valad Property Group.
 
Affiliated Managers GroupPatrick Sege has been named director and country head for Switzerland, Austria and Lichtenstein as the asset manager moves to establish its European presence. Axel Weiss has been named director and country head for Germany for the same reason, working out of the new Zurich office alongside Sege. Sege joins from Lionsgate Capital Management, where he was head of business development for Switzerland and Continental Europe, while Weiss was previously director of relationship and sales at Fidelity Investment Management.

AXA Investment ManagersChristian Gissler has been appointed global head of risks and controls. Gissler, based in Paris, will assume overall responsibility for risk management, legal affairs, compliance and lobbying. He joins from CNP Assurances, where he was head of investment strategy. Before then, he was head of risk at Natixis and head of risk at IXIS Corporate & Investment Bank.

BlueBay Asset ManagementStaffan Kampe has been appointed director of sales for the Nordic region. He joins from Lyxor Asset Management, where he was head of institutional sales for the Nordics. Before then, he spent 11 years at SEB in product development and institutional sales.
 
NOW: PensionsFiona Kelley has been appointed head of legal. She joins from IFG/James Hay Partnership, where she provided senior legal council. Before then, she worked at Abbey National, AGF Insurance and Barclaycard.
