UK – Consulting actuaries company, Punter Southall & Co (PS), has published the dates for its latest trustee training programme 2001/2002.

The course lasts one day and its objective is to build trustees’ understanding and confidence, whilst outlining trustee responsibility in relation to statutory requirements and deadlines surrounding pension schemes. It is open to both existing trustees as further training or new trustees without any formal training.

The programme will be held in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London.

Elsewhere, Punter Southall Financial Management (PSFM), the group's financial management arm, has been appointed by boot-making company, A. Jones & Sons, to set up a stakeholder pension scheme.

The new scheme is open to all Jones’ approximately 750 employees. .

As part of the deal, PSFM will provide ongoing consultation.
