FRANCE- AXA Investment Managers in Paris has promoted Christian Rabeau, its head of asset allocation, to the position of chief investment officer following the departure of Thierry Deheuvels.

Deheuvels resigned from AXA IM in the summer to join AGF Asset Management, part of German insurer Allianz, as head of the equity fund management team.

In addition to his new role, Rabeau will retain his current responsibilities, overseeing asset allocation at AXA IM on a day-to-day basis. A spokeswoman for AXA IM said there were no plans to employ a separate director of asset allocation in the near future.

Laurent Tignard has also been promoted to the director of equity fund management. Tignard was formerly in charge of the international equity team at AXA IM and there are no plans to fill his former position. Tignard will report to Rabeau.
