**Robeco appoints new asset management chairman**
THE NETHERLANDS – Robeco has appointed Marnix Vriezen as chairman of the management board of its asset management business unit, Robeco Asset Management.

Virezen will be responsible for both retail and institutional products as well as third-party distributor and client relationships. He has held various positions since joining Robeco in 1989 and has been a member of Robeco Asset Management’s board since 2000, most recently as head of institutional business development.

Elsewhere, Constant Korthout has been appointed chief financial officer of Robeco Groep. He moves up from his previous position of executive vice president of corporate development.


**Govett gets new bond manager**
UK – Govett Investments has appointed Bob Aldridge as senior bond fund manager, with effect from February. He will take over from Rick Wisentaner who is leaving Govett.

Aldridge joins from Old Mutual Asset Managers (UK), where he worked for the last seven years leading a team managing a range of fixed income funds.


**FitzGeorge Balfour joins NIB sales team**
UK – NIB International has appointed Robin FitzGeorge Balfour as head of its institutional sakes team.

FitzGeorge Balfour has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry. He was most recently employed as co-head of sales at hedge fund specialist company, Aldgate Capital.
