Schroder IM reshuffles management

UK – Schroder Investment Management has reshuffled its senior positions with the head of equities, Michael Pignatelli, taking a more hands-on role in managing money.

Pignatelli has decided to return to his former role of head of European equities after just 18 months as head of equities, in order to have a more hands-on role. The position has remained vacant since Pignatelli’s promotion, and was therefore easy for him to step back into.

Ken Lambden, who has been heading up the company’s operations in Australia, will move to London at the beginning of next year to take on the role of global head of equities.

Schroders' retail and institutional management divisions have also been reorganised. The two divisions will now be combined and headed up by Richard Horlick, former head of institutional business only. Massimo Tossato will head up the distribution side for the two divisions.

A spokesman at the firm said that the moves would “simplify and streamline” the business.

Schroders has 90.4 billion pounds (131 billion euros) under management.
