Schroder signals DC growth with new signings

UK - Schroder Pensions has made of raft of new appointments in response to growth in its UK defined contribution (DC) business.

Steve Maybanks, a former senior manager of pension administration at Prudential, is to take up the position of head of stakeholder and grouped pensions with responsibility for client service.

David Birch and Jim Baylis, meanwhile become business development managers at the group, working closely with consultants and fee-based intermediaries.

Birch is a former key account manager and business development consultant with Scottish Mutual, while Baylis joins from Legal & General where he was an account manager for national IFAs.

Says Robert Noach, Schroder pensions director of business development: “As we grow our corporate defined contribution business, we are looking to bring more industry talent on board.”
