Schroders appoints Germany/Austria country head

GERMANY/AUSTRIA – Schroder Investment Management has poached Martin Theisinger, the former head of European sales at JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management, to become its head of institutional sales and country head of asset management in Germany and Austria.

Commenting on his appointment, Theisinger says:
"The increased focus on private pension provision is generating exciting opportunities in both Germany and Austria. Schroders' expertise and commitment to Europe make it well placed to take advantage of these. I greatly look forward to the challenge of growing Schroders' institutional
business."

Prior to JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management, he spent nine years at Commerz International Capital Management, becoming global head of client relations and marketing in 1995.

Gavin Ralston, managing director, European institutional business at Schroders comments: "The German and Austrian markets are evolving fast and we are delighted to have Martin on board. He has extensive experience both in Germany and across Europe and his appointment reflects Schroders' ongoing commitment to the European marketplace."
