A Swiss workplace pension plan is searching via IPE Quest for an active manager with a quant approach to invest in small-cap equities for a $300m (€253m)-700m mandate.

According to QN-2703, it wants to invest in the asset class across global developed markets, with MSCI World ex-Switzerland Small Cap as the benchmark.

Managers are welcome to offer a non-quantitative strategy, but the investor currently has a clear focus on a quantitative approach.

Asset managers should ideally have at least $2bn in assets under management in the asset class; depending on the number of proposals received this could become a hard criterion.

As a firm asset managers should have $10bn in assets under management.

A track record of five years is preferred, but the minimum is three years.

Interested parties should state performance to 30 June gross of fees.

The deadline is 16 July at 5pm UK time.
